WHO WE ARE
Living Exhibits is a San Diego based corporation that produces and manages interactive seasonal exhibits for zoos, aquariums and museums.
Living Exhibits is owned by Mike Yeakle and Brian Joseph, D.V.M.
Mike Yeakle and Dr. Joseph have been actively managing Living Exhibits since 2001 and have been involved with interactive animal exhibits for more than 25 years.
Mike Yeakle worked at Sea World parks throughout the ’70’s and ’80’s as an animal behaviorist and ultimately Manager of Animal Behavior at Sea World of Ohio and Sea World of San Diego. Mike then went onto build his own company that produced marine science experiences before teaming with Dr. Joseph to create Living Exhibits.
Brian Joseph, D.V.M., after beginning his career at the San Diego Zoo was a staff veterinarian at Sea World before moving onto the Brookfield and Minnesota zoos & the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium. Brian was Vice-President & COO at a California museum providing capital project development and management. Dr. Joseph was awarded 2006 Accreditation Inspector of the Year by AZA.
Each of our exhibits is staffed full time by a Living Exhibits Supervisor and an Assistant Exhibit Supervisor. Our Exhibit Supervisors and Assistant Exhibit Supervisors generally come from zoological or aquarium backgrounds and are trained in managing animal care facilities. All of our Supervisors have extensive training and experience in maintaining an optimum environment for interactive experiences.
Our Life Support Design Engineers, Contractors and corporate staff work together with our Exhibit Supervisors and our customers to provide memorable visitor experiences while maintaining excellent animal care standards.
